We are seeking an experienced and skilled Roofer Technician to join our team at Nerd Power. As a key member of our roofing crew, you will be responsible for installing new roofing systems, performing maintenance tasks, and guiding unskilled workers on-site.
Key Responsibilities- Inspecting roof structures to determine the best course of action.
- Providing clients with accurate labor and material cost estimates.
- Measuring and cutting materials to fit securely around vents, gutters, chimneys, and walls.
- Preparing roof surfaces by smoothing rough spots and ensuring proper waterproofing.
- Replacing damaged or rotting areas of roofs.
- Removing and installing solar panels when required.
- Installing vapor barriers and insulation for waterproofing.
- Safely setting up ladders, scaffolding, and hoisting equipment.
- Regularly updating supervisors on job progress and reporting any issues.
- Proven experience in roofing or general construction (required).
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid driver's license and state roofer's license.
- Working knowledge of various roofing systems.
- Ability to lift heavy materials and use powered hand tools.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Solar experience is preferred, but not required.
We offer a competitive hourly rate of $18-$23, plus bonuses, and opportunities for growth and development in a dynamic and supportive team environment.
