We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team at Ascension St. Vincent. As a Cardiac ICU Registered Nurse, you will provide direct patient care to critically ill patients with cardiac conditions, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest level of care.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients with cardiac conditions, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
- Develop and implement individualized patient care plans, taking into account the patient's medical history, physical condition, and treatment goals.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care, including ordering and administering medications, performing procedures, and monitoring patient vital signs.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction, and to identify areas for process improvement.
- Document patient care and progress in a timely and accurate manner, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited nursing program.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Indiana.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
- At least 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse in a critical care setting, preferably in a cardiac ICU.
- Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from an accredited nursing program.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from the AHA.
- Experience with telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation.
