Under general supervision and in accordance with established policies, procedures, and professional standards, the Surgical Services Registered Nurse provides comprehensive nursing care to patients.
The role involves planning and implementing nursing care, documenting assessments, identifying and reporting situations that require further intervention, formulating and communicating goal-directed care plans, and ensuring the protection of patient rights.
Responsibilities include performing job duties aligned with the mission, vision, and values of Tampa General Hospital, as well as adhering to principles of quality improvement.
Essential Qualifications- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing; valid licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Florida.
- BSN or ASN with a minimum of one year of relevant experience required.
- At least one year of experience in Pre/Post Operating Room settings is mandatory.
- Experience in a surgical center is preferred.
- Prior experience in an Emergency Department or Intensive Care Unit is advantageous.
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications are required.
- This position does not involve working on holidays or weekends.
