We are currently in search of a committed and dependable Janitorial Operations Supervisor to become part of our team. The primary duty will involve supporting the Director of Custodial Services in executing custodial and site services for the division's custodial services program. Additionally, this role serves as a resource for designated locations concerning custodial operations, staff management, facility inspections, training, special initiatives, supply inventory, and emergency response. If you are enthusiastic about fostering a positive workspace atmosphere, we encourage you to consider this opportunity.

Compensation: $33.00 per hour (non-exempt, regular full-time)

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 6:00 pm - 2:30 am

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Proficient understanding of effective cleaning methodologies and routine maintenance; familiarity with cleaning materials, supplies, equipment, and building fixtures. Capability to learn and adeptly utilize various machines/equipment, especially as upgrades occur; ability to articulate ideas clearly, both verbally and in writing; capacity to plan, train, and guide others in a manner that promotes optimal performance and high morale among employees; ability to establish and maintain productive working relationships with school administrators and staff. Must be prepared to respond to emergencies as required; must be able to rotate between day and night shifts as directed.

Education and Experience
  • A minimum of a high school diploma or GED is required.
  • At least 3 years of supervisory experience in custodial and/or building maintenance roles.
Physical Requirements
  • Involves standing, walking, moving, climbing, carrying, bending, kneeling, crawling, reaching, handling, pushing, and pulling.
  • Ability to lift 10-40 pounds frequently, 40-75 pounds occasionally, and more than 75 pounds infrequently.
Special Requirements
  • Possession of a valid driver's license.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
