Contract Principal

General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems is seeking a skilled Contract Principal to join our team in Niceville, Florida.
This role involves participating in the development and fulfillment of contract requirements, evaluating contract compliance, and advising others on contractual rights and obligations. The successful candidate will also be responsible for preparing bids or requests for proposals (RFPs), negotiating contract terms, and maintaining electronic file systems for contracts and proposals.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop, prepare, and administer contracts, bids, and proposals that meet specifications and comply with all policies and regulations.
- Support or participate in contract negotiations with suppliers, partners, or customers.
- Review contract terms to identify any potential risk or compliance issues.
- Examine supporting materials and agreement documents related to bids or contracts and provide guidance.
- Act as liaison between the organization and subcontractors to implement the contracts.
- Maintain contract records used to ensure compliance with reporting and regulatory requirements.
- Associate degree or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
- 8-10 years of relevant experience in contract administration, procurement, or a related field.
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and ERP systems.
- Strong organizational skills, oral and written communication skills, and attention to detail.
