We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Security Officer to join our team at a local hospital in Sterling, Virginia. As a Security Officer, you will play a critical role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, and staff.

Job Summary:

The Security Officer will be responsible for:

  • Deter crime and provide order and control during the shift within the boundaries of the assigned post.
  • Patrol the facility or stand a post as instructed and serve as a general security presence and visible deterrent to crime and client rule infractions.
  • Respond to all incidents as dispatched, providing assistance as needed, protecting personnel and property within reason, and securing the incident scene until properly relieved.
  • Conduct initial investigations of incidents and complete all appropriate reports.
Responsibilities:

The Security Officer will be responsible for:

  • Providing excellent customer service to patients, visitors, and staff.
  • Responding to emergency situations, such as fires, medical emergencies, and security breaches.
  • Conducting regular patrols of the facility to ensure a safe and secure environment.
  • Monitoring CCTV cameras and responding to any security incidents.
  • Collaborating with hospital staff to resolve security-related issues.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a customer service-related field.
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • The ability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and respond to emergency situations.
