About the Role:

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Personal Care Professional to join our team at Ponderosa Lodge. As a key member of our care team, you will play a vital role in enhancing the lives of our residents by providing high-quality care and support.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, eating, transferring, and mobility.
  • Engage residents in meaningful conversation, socialization, and activity while providing personal care assistance.
  • Respond promptly to all resident needs and/or requests for care, providing or obtaining assistance as necessary.
  • Support residents during meal times in the dining room.
  • Encourage participation in scheduled activities and outings, assisting as needed.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the community, including resident rooms, common areas, and facilities.
  • Perform laundry tasks according to shift guidelines.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous experience working with the elderly in a residential or long-term care setting is preferred.
  • Able to read, write, and speak English to communicate effectively with residents, families, visitors, and staff members.
  • Able to perform job duties and responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Must pass required tests (CPR, First Aid, Food Handlers) if applicable.
