We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Patient Care Associate to join our team at Mass General Brigham. As a Patient Care Associate, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our interdisciplinary healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with direct patient care needs, including activities of daily living and vital sign monitoring.
- Contribute to a safe and compassionate patient care environment by fostering a healing environment and promoting patient safety.
- Collaborate with the registered nurse to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Assist with patient data collection and specimen collection.
- Support a Culture of Safety by identifying and reporting safety concerns and participating in hourly patient care rounds.
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Successful completion of the literacy exam with a score of 80% or better (PCA Training Program candidates only).
- CPR training required.
- Knowledge of English language sufficient to read, speak, and write accurately.
- Ability to lift and transport patients using the appropriate physical technique in a safe manner for the patient and self, according to Safe Patient Handling Guidelines.
- Certification as a Nursing Assistant preferred.
This role will be based in a hospital setting, working closely with our interdisciplinary healthcare team to provide exceptional patient care.
