Transformative Steel Manufacturing

Hertha Metals is pioneering a revolutionary approach to steel production, leveraging cutting-edge technologies to significantly reduce carbon emissions and create a more sustainable future. As a key member of our Research Team, you will play a vital role in driving this transformation forward.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, operate, and maintain advanced manufacturing equipment.
  • Develop and implement process flows, recipes, and quality assurance protocols to ensure consistent product quality and throughput.
  • Partner with equipment vendors and installers to gain in-depth knowledge of research and pilot-scale furnace operations and maintenance.
Requirements
  • US Citizenship
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or related field
  • Experience in energetic materials formulation, particularly for additive manufacturing applications
  • Proven track record in R&D projects, ideally within the Steel Industry
  • Strong practical skills in operating advanced manufacturing equipment
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and top research institutions
  • Experience in setting up and managing high-tech laboratories
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional communication abilities for both technical reporting and interdisciplinary collaboration
  • Innovative Mindset: Passion for innovation, testing, and troubleshooting, with a penchant for perfection and a drive for continuous improvement
