Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at Prisma Health. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for operating MRI equipment, producing high-quality images, and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate MRI equipment to produce high-quality images, ensuring optimal patient care and safety.
  • Screen patients and staff for magnet safety, adhering to strict protocols and guidelines.
  • Perform procedures proficiently, maintaining high-quality standards and adhering to scanning protocols.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and medical staff, ensuring accurate and timely completion of exams.
  • Prepare scan rooms for procedures, maintaining a clean and organized environment.
  • Administer contrast materials as prescribed by a physician or in approved Radiology protocol.
  • Implement emergency procedures as needed, prioritizing patient safety and well-being.
  • Perform quality control tasks to ensure equipment and procedures meet standards.
  • Stay up-to-date with organizational, affiliate, and departmental changes, ensuring compliance and knowledge.
  • Provide clinical instruction to staff technologists and students, promoting knowledge sharing and growth.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
  • ARRT registered in Radiology & MRI, or ARRT registered in MRI, or ARMRIT-American Registry of MRI certification.
  • BLS certification.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Basic computer skills.
  • Knowledge of office equipment (fax/copier).
  • Proficient computer skills (database).
  • Data entry.
  • Mathematical skills.
