Job SummaryWe're seeking a highly skilled Patient Navigator to join our team in Deltona, FL. As a Patient Navigator, you'll play a crucial role in collaborating with our clinical team to provide an exceptional patient experience. Your primary responsibilities will include genetics education for high-risk patients, registration and scheduling follow-up appointments for genetic testing, and liaison between patients, radiologists, pathologists, and referring physicians.
Responsibilities- Provide genetics education to high-risk patients to empower them with knowledge and understanding of their genetic risks.
- Register and schedule follow-up appointments for genetic testing, ensuring seamless coordination with our clinical team.
- Collect specimens for genetic testing, maintaining the highest standards of patient care and confidentiality.
- Act as a liaison between patients, radiologists, pathologists, and referring physicians to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations for genetic testing.
- Maintain a compassionate and professional demeanor in a fast-paced environment, providing exceptional patient care and support.
- Distribute positive genetic test results to referring physicians, ensuring timely and accurate communication.
We're looking for a highly motivated and experienced Patient Navigator with at least 1 year of certified medical assistant experience in imaging. Bilingual skills in English and Spanish are highly preferred.
