Xfinity Device Fulfillment and Assurance Services (DFAS) Team

The Xfinity Device Fulfillment and Assurance Services (DFAS) team is responsible for developing and maintaining applications that handle operational equipment data related to customer lifecycle and provide service fulfillment-related services.

Job Summary

This Engineer 3-level position is part of a Scrum team within DFAS that works on the Fulfillment Assurance Hub. The team is based in Englewood, CO.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders to identify product and technical requirements, conducting analysis to determine integration needs.
  • Design new software and web applications, support applications under development, and customize current applications, assisting with the software update process for existing applications and roll-outs of software releases.
  • Participate in training representatives and operations staff on internally developed software applications.
  • Research, write, and edit documentation and technical requirements, including software designs, evaluation plans, test results, technical manuals, and formal recommendations and reports.
  • Monitor and evaluate competitive applications and products, reviewing literature, patents, and current practices relevant to the solution of assigned projects.
  • Provide technical leadership throughout the design process and guidance with regards to practices, procedures, and techniques, serving as a guide and mentor for junior-level Software Development Engineers.
  • Work with the Quality Assurance team to determine if applications fit specification and technical requirements.
  • Display in-depth knowledge of engineering methodologies, concepts, skills, and their application in the area of specified engineering specialty.
  • Display in-depth knowledge of and ability to apply process design and redesign skills, presenting and defending architectural, design, and technical choices to internal audiences.
  • Display knowledge of and ability to apply project management skills.
  • Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
  • Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance, with the ability to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s), and overtime as necessary.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience programming in Java.
  • 1+ years of experience developing and deploying microservices on the AWS platform.
  • 1+ years of experience working on AWS Lambda functions.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with GraphQl.
  • Experience with Cloud Foundry.
  • Experience with NoSQL databases.
