US Foods, Inc. is seeking a skilled Fleet Mechanic to join our team. As a Fleet Mechanic, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing diesel equipment, including tractors, trailers, and refrigeration units.
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and repair diesel equipment, including tractors, trailers, and refrigeration units.
- Perform preventative maintenance on company vehicles and equipment.
- Complete documentation of all repair orders and maintenance activities.
- Handle road service calls and perform road rescue/transport equipment as needed.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with workplace safety rules and regulations.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- A valid Class-A CDL license and DOT certification preferred.
- Three years of verifiable hands-on experience as a heavy duty commercial diesel mechanic or reefer mechanic.
- Diagnostic and troubleshooting competency relating to equipment repairs.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently.
