About the Role:
Job Summary
Under the supervision of a Radiologist and Supervisor, the CT Imaging Technologist performs CT and X-ray examinations at a technical level that does not require constant oversight of technical details. This role involves executing a variety of technical procedures that necessitate independent judgment, creativity, and initiative to apply ionizing radiation for diagnostic purposes. Proficiency in the use of contrast agents and knowledge of appropriate techniques for certain invasive procedures is essential. The technologist will take responsibility for designated procedural areas, with a patient care scope that spans from newborns to the elderly.
Minimum Job Qualifications
- Licensure or other certifications: Current ARRT Certification
- Educational Requirements: High School Diploma or GED. Graduate of an accredited ARRT Program.

- Capability to perform quality CT and X-ray procedures and venipuncture
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively with others
- Basic computer proficiency
- Operate CT and X-ray machinery in accordance with equipment specifications (i.e., operator's console, work station, injector, reformatting, teleradiology). Adhere to infection control and safety protocols. Follow best practices for radiation safety, including coning, shielding, and film badge monitoring, in compliance with state and federal regulations. Consistently produce high-quality images within established protocols. Maintain processors, diagnose processing issues, and take corrective actions. Keep patient records in accordance with departmental procedures. Understand the appropriate use of contrast media (venipuncture, injector, consent forms, type, quantity, complications). Accurately assess patients based on the exams ordered with proper documentation (i.e., verify orders, review previous films, check lab values when necessary, prepare, screen for possible pregnancy, gather appropriate history, coordinate with Imaging nurse as needed). Provide relevant patient education regarding the exams performed and document in the patient record. Ensure compliance with RIS standards as per departmental requirements (i.e., order, arrival, start, completion, cancellation, record complications, IV infiltrate documentation, drug history, repeats, complaints, and transfers). Meet productivity benchmarks set by the department. Maintain a tidy and organized workspace.

- Perform non-technical duties as assigned (i.e., restock rooms, transport patients, clean cassettes).
