In this role, you will have the opportunity to work as a Med Surg Tele Nurse at Dignity Health Yavapai Regional Medical Center. You will be responsible for assessing patients' health status, administering medications and treatments, monitoring vital signs, and providing patient education. This role is now supported by our Virtually Integrated CareSM (VICSM) Nurses which is a transformational model of care delivery offered by CommonSpirit Health that provides 24/7 virtual access to highly experienced RNs for patients and the bedside care team.
As part of our team, you will be working closely with other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient care. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care for patients from adolescent to geriatric
- Handling patients with more complex situations with assistance and supervision
- Assisting with managing patient care administered by other members of the nursing staff
- Assuming responsibilities of Primary Nurse and Team Leader
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- A minimum of an Associate degree in Nursing or foreign equivalent
- 9 months of RN experience
- A valid compact state or Arizona RN license
- American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certification
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification
- Demonstrated competency in basic EKG skills by passing EKG test or successfully completing basic EKG class/modules within six months of position
