About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacist to join our team at Avel eCare Pharmacy. As a key member of our remote pharmacy service, you will play a critical role in providing pharmaceutical care to patients across the United States.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Medication Review and Verification: Review prescriber medication orders for safety and efficacy, and approve medication for dispensing to patients at contracted facilities.
  2. Medication Therapy Management: Evaluate medication therapy of patients and make recommendations to physicians and other prescribers to provide the best possible therapy for the patient.
  3. Drug Information and Communication: Provide drug information to physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, and communicate effectively via telephone, written communication, or other means.
  4. Patient Counseling: Counsel patients on the proper usage, effects, and side effects of medication.
  5. Documentation and Customer Service: Accurately document all work completed within the order management system and maintain a customer-service focus to achieve excellent working relationships with remote contracted facilities.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy degree required; hospital experience or completion of ASHP-accredited Residency preferred.
  • Certification, Licensure, and Registration: Pharmacist licensure in the residing state required; four additional state Pharmacist licenses required within 120 days of hire date.
