Job Summary and Qualifications

The Rapid Response RN plays a crucial role in delivering specialized nursing care as part of the Rapid Response Team, ensuring the comfort and well-being of patients. This involves utilizing the nursing process—assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation—to provide care, maintain documentation, and offer education related to acute needs. Additionally, the RN will implement medically prescribed interventions tailored to the defined patient population.

Qualifications Required:

  • Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing or enrollment in a BSN or advanced degree program with completion within five years of hire. Exemptions may apply for experienced RNs.
  • Licensure/Certifications: Current licensure as a registered nurse with the North Carolina Board of Nursing. BLS Healthcare Provider and ACLS certifications are required. National Nursing Certification in the specialty area is preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of five years as a registered nurse, with three years in Critical Care or Emergency Department preferred.
