Harborview at Lansdale is pleased to announce a FREE Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) training program at our affiliated facility. This is a fantastic chance to embark on a rewarding career in one of the fastest-growing sectors of the healthcare industry.

Eligibility Criteria for Our CNA Training Program:

  • Possession of a high school diploma or equivalent
  • A genuine compassion for the elderly population
  • Commitment to work at our facility as a full-time CNA for a minimum of one year after completing the program
  • Willingness to remain with our team for at least two years
  • Able to travel to our affiliated facility to complete the three-week training course

Key Responsibilities of Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA):

  • Assist residents with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, meals, and dressing under the supervision of a nurse
  • Ensure patient comfort and safety at all times
  • Document vital signs, weight, meal intake, and other relevant information
  • Support Restorative Nursing duties as required
  • Respond promptly to call lights
  • Perform CNA skills as necessary
  • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures of the facility
  • Identify safety hazards and emergencies, initiating corrective actions as needed
  • Recognize special resident issues, reporting them to the nurse, and actively participate in problem-solving
  • Review resident profiles and deliver nursing care as specified
  • Follow infection control protocols diligently
  • Assist in ambulating and transferring residents according to policy
  • Restock supplies for the subsequent shift
