OBJECTIVE OF THE ROLE

The Warehouse Forklift Specialist plays a crucial role in the logistics and warehousing operations, ensuring the safe and efficient handling of products and materials.

This position involves operating various types of material handling equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks, to load, unload, move, stack, and organize inventory.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct daily inspections of equipment and report any operational issues to supervisors.
  • Maintain cleanliness in all work areas, particularly in designated charging and parking zones.
  • Adhere to OSHA regulations and Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) standards.
  • Follow established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and industry best practices.
  • Meet performance standards and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) set by management.
  • Identify and report any discrepancies in picking quality or quantity.
  • Assist with inventory management and cycle counts as necessary.
  • Accurately read orders to confirm product specifications before picking.
  • Safely transport orders to designated shipping or packing areas.
  • Organize and stage items on pallets as required.
  • Support inbound stowing in racks to meet service level agreements.
  • Assist with the movement of pallets and optimize inventory flow.
  • Load and unload truck shipments in a timely manner.
  • Manage the handling of cardboard and trash materials effectively.
  • Ensure equipment is parked in designated areas and powered off when not in use.
  • Report any equipment damage or issues for necessary repairs.
  • Participate in weekly safety observation practices.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Prior experience with scanning equipment.
  • Professional background in material handling.
  • Valid certifications for multiple types of material handling equipment.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is essential.

Job Type: Full-time

Compensation: $24.00 per hour

Shifts: Monday-Thursday 6:00am-4:30pm or Friday-Sunday 6:00am-7:00pm

Expected hours: 40 per week
