About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Engineer to join our team at Sargent & Lundy. As a senior-level engineer, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects related to small modular reactor technology and licensing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage tasks related to new small modular reactor projects, including technology assessments and licensing submittals.
  • Provide license renewal services, including studying business cases for LR or SLR, GALL-SLR gap analysis, and preparing LR or SLR applications.
  • Support industry initiatives and implement Period of Extended Operation (PEO) and Aging Management Plan (AMP) upgrades.
Requirements
  • BS or MS in engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
  • At least 10 years of experience in the nuclear power industry.
  • Working knowledge of NRC regulations and guidance related to licensing and license renewal of nuclear power plants.
  • PE license beneficial.
