Nutrition Specialist

About the Job
This is a full-time day shift position that requires providing nutrition care and education to patients and/or caregivers. You will evaluate patients' nutritional status, develop and implement care plans, assess nutrient requirements, recommend nutrition prescriptions, and communicate information to physicians and other healthcare professionals.

Coordinate, review, plan, update, and implement medical nutrition therapy to patients according to established policies and procedures.
Monitor patients receiving nutrition support.
Provide nutrition education to patients, caregivers, staff, and community partners.
Serve as a preceptor for medical, dietetic, and food service interns and/or clinical research.
Participate and serve on interdisciplinary team meetings, patient rounds, multidisciplinary committees, and/or discharge planning.
Assist with performance and quality improvement projects.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an Academy of Dietetics (AND) accredited institution and/or approved internship program.
No previous experience required.
