Job Summary
Central Care Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Intensive Care Unit Nurse to join our team at the Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, WA. As a critical care nurse, you will have the opportunity to serve our military community and develop your skill set in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate age-specific nursing care for patients across all ages.
- Function as a patient advocate, ensuring that patients receive high-quality care and attention.
- Assess patient/family knowledge level and develop a plan of instruction to educate patients and families on their care.
- Manage patients requiring hemodynamic monitoring, titration of vasopressor drugs, and a wide range of procedures with high risk for infection.
- Communicate pertinent patient information to the charge nurse and/or physician as appropriate.
- Verify transcription of physician orders and assess patients to plan for appropriate nursing care.
Requirements
- Active RN License
- At least one (1) year of qualifying experience in ICU
- BLS/ACLS Certifications
- Graduate of an Associate Diploma or Baccalaureate Degree program from the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN)
