Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Cross Resource Group. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing food processing equipment to ensure optimal production levels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Equipment Maintenance: Inspect, repair, and maintain machinery and equipment throughout the facility to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and repair equipment as needed to minimize downtime and ensure production goals are met.
  • Overhaul and Installation: Overhaul and install plant equipment during non-production periods to ensure it is ready for the next scheduled production run.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of work performed and PM completed to ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Quality Control: Monitor equipment operation and make any necessary adjustments to ensure quality products are produced.
  • Supply Chain Management: Complete PO requests to order parts and supplies for the department as needed.
  • Training and Development: Assist in training new and junior Mechanics to ensure they have the necessary skills to perform their job duties.
Requirements
  • Education: Some post-high school education or training is beneficial.
  • Skills: Knowledge of hand and power tools, mechanical repair and equipment maintenance knowledge, and good written and oral communication skills.
  • Physical Demands: Able to lift moderate to heavy weights (up to 100 lbs) and perform other physical demands of the job.
Working Conditions
  • Work Environment: Work in a fast-paced production environment with tight time constraints, precision demands, and productivity demands.
  • Physical Hazards: Exposure to odors, barriers, risk of injury, high noise levels, cramped work spaces, slippery surfaces, exposure to temperature changes/heat/cold, exposure to electrical hazards, exposure to dust/dirt, machinery vibration, exposure to weather, and exposure to mechanical hazards.
Accountability
  • Job Accountability: Responsible for completion of all job assignments in accordance with established procedures to meet quality, production, and safety goals.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Frequent interaction with plant/warehouse managers and superintendents, constant interaction with other hourly personnel, and infrequent contact with suppliers, vendors, and contractors.
