Key Responsibilities- Provide individualized support to students to alleviate personal, social, or emotional maladjustments that interfere with learning and attendance.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school personnel to develop plans that modify the behavior of disruptive students.
- Link community resources with families in need, ensuring that students receive the support they require to thrive.
- Consult with teachers and others to help them understand the meaning of their students' behaviors.
- Participate in school activities to promote the relationship between the school and the broader community.
- Assume responsibilities of case management activities, including coordinating referrals and communicating with staff about follow-up.
- Participate in staff meetings to develop behavior management plans and functional analysis of behavior.
- Qualify for a valid certificate (type 73) as a School Social Worker issued by the Illinois State Board of Education.
- Holds an earned Master's Degree from an accredited college or university.
181 days per year. Salary and other benefits as established by the Board of Education.
