Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team at Fairmont Grand Del Mar. As a Painter, you will be responsible for applying paint, venetian plaster, stain, vinyl, and wallpaper to walls, furniture, and other structures within the property.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare surfaces for painting and wall coverings.
  • Apply paint, venetian plaster, sealants, vinyl, caulking, and wallpaper, including specialty papers, trims, and fabrics.
  • Inspect and repair wall surfaces using the appropriate materials.
  • Assist with ordering of supplies and materials for the paint shop.
  • Maintain a clean work environment and proper upkeep of all company tools.
  • Properly dispose of or recycle chemicals.
  • Comply with OSHA regulations, Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS), and safety precautions.
  • Communicate professionally with colleagues and guests.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum of two years painting experience required.
  • Trade school or related training preferred.
  • Knowledge of techniques, materials, and procedures used in repair and application of paint, vinyl, and wallpaper preferred.
  • Valid Driver's License and a satisfactory driving record required.
  • Material Handling Equipment certification as required.
