Job Overview

Sunbelt Staffing is seeking a dedicated and experienced Special Education Teacher to join our team.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a qualified educator to teach in a self-contained Autistic Support classroom, serving middle and high school students. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1+ years of experience in special education and be licensed to teach in Pennsylvania.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach and support students with autism in a self-contained classroom setting
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) to meet the unique needs of students
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a comprehensive and inclusive educational experience
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a positive and supportive learning environment

Requirements:

  • Active Pennsylvania Special Education License
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a special education classroom
  • Experience working with non-verbal autistic students
