Job Summary

As a Quality Assurance Inspector II at Ferno, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our final products and components. Your attention to detail and ability to follow documentation requirements will be essential in preparing inspection records and writing Non Conformance reports.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect raw materials, parts, components, and finished products for compliance with dimensional and performance specifications using established inspection plans.
  • Document inspection observations and report non-conformances in the computer system.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Availability for shift work and overtime as needed.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently read, comprehend, and execute work instructions as written.
  • Working knowledge of at least one advanced measurement system (e.g., CMM's, optical comparators).
  • Ability to safely lift and transport up to 50 lbs. over short distances.
  • Close vision (corrected or uncorrected) with peripheral, depth perception, and color vision capability.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with forklift operation.
  • Three years of on-the-job experience.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
  • High school level reading, writing, and comprehension proficiency.
  • Inspector 1 math skills.
  • Proficient with statistical sampling using an inspector's rule.
  • Ability to read, understand, and analyze product requirements against the actual product for purposes of evaluation.
