About the Role

The Hospice Volunteer will work closely with our interdisciplinary team to provide emotional support, companionship, and practical assistance to patients and their families. This role requires a strong commitment to delivering high-quality care and service to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with patient care tasks as outlined in the plan of care.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to patients and their families.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of volunteer activities.
  • Participate in educational in-services and workshops to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license and current auto insurance.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment driver record check, criminal background check, and adult/child abuse review.

Working Conditions:

  • This position involves working in a home-based setting, which may include patient homes, hospitals, and community facilities.
  • The ability to travel to various locations is required.
