We are looking for a qualified Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join a collaborative team for a contract role within a school setting.
The SLP will be responsible for evaluating students who require assistance with speech, language, and communication challenges. This role involves guiding students in enhancing their speech clarity, vocal quality, and overall language proficiency, enabling them to communicate effectively. Additionally, the SLP will provide strategies to assist individuals in strengthening their swallowing capabilities to prevent choking or aspiration.
Key Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited Speech Language Pathology program.
- Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist or actively pursuing licensure.
- Valid CPR certification.
- Ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to create tailored care plans.
- Deliver expert speech therapy services as per physician directives.
- Assess patient needs and adapt care strategies to achieve therapeutic goals.
- Establish realistic objectives for patients to enhance their communication and swallowing skills, supporting their educational and social integration.
- Candidates must hold the SLP-CCC credential.
- Proficiency in American Sign Language is required.
