The Mental Health Association of Oklahoma is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Resident Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our support staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being and safety of our residents.
Key Responsibilities:- Monitor and maintain the overall safety and security of the facility, including video surveillance equipment and fire systems.
- Provide non-clinical support to residents in treatment and recovery from serious mental illness and homelessness, communicating with internal and external providers as needed.
- Conduct regular checks of the premises to ensure cleanliness and orderliness.
- Enforce program rules and regulations, maintaining a safe and respectful environment for all residents.
- Process resident payments and maintain accurate records.
- Manage guest sign-in/out procedures, ensuring smooth communication between staff and residents.
- Observe and report resident behaviors, promoting a culture of respect and empathy.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with a bachelor's degree preferred.
- Experience working with individuals with mental illness or in residential settings is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including effective boundary-setting and conflict resolution.
- Familiarity with basic office equipment and technology, as well as adult CPR and First Aid certification (preferred).
