We are currently recruiting a licensed practical nurse to join our team in Tacoma, WA. This is a part-time/PRN position that offers the opportunity to coordinate complex clinical operations at a facility that houses individuals detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

About the Job
  • Provide direct care to patients within the scope of practice and perform functions in accordance with current accepted practice, licensure, certification, credentialing, and/or competencies.
  • Administer medications as ordered, using various routes such as oral, subcutaneous, intramuscular, intravenous, topical, ophthalmic, and enteral/parenteral routes.
  • Perform prescreening and intake screening of patients newly arrived at the facility, using established tools for gathering subjective and objective data.
  • Respond to medical emergencies and render emergency care to stabilize patients and prevent deterioration.

For this role, we require:

  • A graduate from a Vocational/Practical Nurse program approved by a State, the District of Columbia, or a U.S. Territory.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in a hospital, medical office, or outpatient clinical setting.
  • Maintain current, full, and unrestricted LVN/LPN license by the state in which the duty station is located.
  • BLS for Healthcare Providers certification through the American Heart Association.
