Key Responsibilities:

Work Schedule:
Services will be provided throughout the week, with shifts scheduled between 0600 and 1900 or from 1800 to 0700. Shifts will typically be six hours long, with one-hour shifts in critical care areas, including ICU and CCU. Weekend shifts will require working every other Saturday and Sunday.

Specific Duties Include:
  • Performing advanced respiratory procedures as per the established scope of practice.
  • Collaborating with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop effective respiratory treatment plans.
  • Administering emergency and critical respiratory care as needed.
  • Operating and maintaining various respiratory equipment, ensuring proper cleaning and sterilization.
  • Conducting patient assessments and monitoring, providing guidance on breathing exercises and other therapeutic recommendations.
  • Maintaining inventory and stocking supplies necessary for respiratory therapy.

Qualifications:
  • Education: Associate's Degree from an accredited respiratory care program.
  • Experience: At least one year of full-time experience in a clinical setting for Pulmonary Services; two years for Pediatric Units.
  • Certification: Must hold certification as a Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC); Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) preferred.
  • Life Support Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) required; ACLS for Pulmonary Services; PALS for PICU & NICU Services; NRP for NICU Services.
  • Security Clearance: Must pass a government background check and obtain necessary security clearance.

Compensation:
Hourly rate ranges from $40.00 to $60.00, based on qualifications and experience.
