Housing Modification Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Housing Modification Specialist to join our team at Community Action Partnership of Dickinson. As a key member of our Home Modification Program, you will play a vital role in assisting with the day-to-day operations of the program, including work specifications, cost estimates, and inspections.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with the development and implementation of program strategies and initiatives.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to assess the need for modifications and ensure compliance with program standards.
- Prepare and maintain accurate and detailed records of client files, including work specifications, cost estimates, and inspection reports.
- Collaborate with contractors, property owners, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Provide technical assistance and guidance to clients on all phases of construction and rehabilitation.
- Develop and maintain relationships with community partners and stakeholders to promote the program and its services.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements to ensure program compliance and excellence.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as construction management, architecture, or a related field.
- At least 4 years of experience in residential construction, design, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of building codes, standards, and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license and insurable driving record.
This position requires frequent travel to various work sites, including residential properties and community locations. The successful candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
