Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced CDL Truck Driver to join our team at Emerald Transformer. As a key member of our transportation department, you will be responsible for safely transporting electrical equipment and materials to our customers across the country.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct transportation routes to ensure the most economical use of time and equipment.
  • Assist customers in preparing units for safe and accurate shipment.
  • Maintain and prepare all required regulatory and internal shipping documents.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment, reporting defects or repairs to supervisor.
  • Maintain clean equipment and facilities.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and overhead cranes to move units and materials on company facilities and at customer locations.
  • Assist customers with loading and unloading trailers.
  • Ensure timely pick-ups and deliveries.
Requirements
  • Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with HazMat endorsement.
  • One year of OTR commercial driving experience, with additional experience preferred.
  • Physical ability to perform heavy work, exerting up to 100lbs of force occasionally and/or in excess of 50lbs force frequently.
  • Ability to work in extreme heat and cold.
  • Self-directed and able to satisfactorily complete tasks in a timely and efficient manner with minimal supervision.
