Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Repair, maintain, and rebuild production, shipping, and facility equipment, including electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Coordinate maintenance processes with the production department to minimize disruptions to production output and packaging.
  • Respond to maintenance requests from production, shipping employees, and management in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Perform established preventative maintenance programs to prevent equipment failures and downtime.
  • Assist with new equipment installation and ensure all equipment meets safety requirements.
  • Maintain accurate and complete departmental records, including maintenance schedules and equipment histories.
  • Read and interpret mechanical drawings, construction drawings, machine manuals, electrical blueprints, and schematics.
  • Ensure all equipment adheres to applicable safety requirements and follows safety protocols.
  • Work with contractors as needed to complete maintenance tasks.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support ongoing business needs.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in industrial maintenance, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, and electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and repair.
  • Advanced skills in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repair, including experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
  • Ability to work with electrical circuits, including 24-volt controls, single and three-phase service, and DC drives, servos, solenoids, photo eyes, relays, limit switches, and electric motors.
  • Experience with industrial welding, including repair and fabrication, MIG, and TIG.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent, and an associate's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering or a related field, or graduation from a trade school.
  • Ability to read and understand written and verbal policy, instruction, and directions in English.
  • Basic ability to use Windows-based computer systems.
Work Environment

The successful candidate will be able to perform essential responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodations.
