About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Surgery Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our dynamic team at the Animal Medical Center of Seattle. As a key member of our Surgery department, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and supporting our team of dedicated professionals.

Responsibilities
  • Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians with surgical procedures, including anesthesia, surgical preparation, and sterile technique.
  • Provide high-quality patient care, including handling surgical instrumentation, maintaining asepsis, and monitoring patient vital signs.
  • Collaborate with the Surgery team to ensure seamless communication and efficient workflow.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest surgical techniques and best practices.
Requirements
  • Current licensure as a Veterinary Technician in Washington State.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a veterinary hospital setting, preferably in a surgical department.
  • Strong background in anesthesia, surgical preparation, and sterile technique.
  • Ability to lift patients and inventory items up to 40 pounds.
