Laboratory Technician

As a Laboratory Technician at Sun Pharmaceutical Industries, you will provide critical support to our chemists and scientists by performing various laboratory functions. Your role will involve preparing mobile phase/diluents dissolution media, calibrating laboratory equipment, and maintaining a clean and organized laboratory environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare mobile phase/diluents dissolution media and perform daily calibration of pH meters, balances, and other laboratory equipment as assigned.
- Clean laboratory glassware, dissolution baths, and maintain laboratory cleanliness.
- Clean the microbiological laboratory according to applicable SOP.
- Perform testing as required by management after adequate training.
- Follow analysts' instructions to collect glassware, set up dissolution baths, and remove organic waste and HPLC vials.
- Collect samples from the vault based on testing schedules/plans and count tablets/capsules, perform ATW/ACFW.
- Perform data entry, filing, and organization, and maintain raw materials, finished product, and sample logbooks.
- Remove released samples from the appropriate area and dispose of them accordingly.
- Maintain and monitor lab supplies and chemicals inventory.
- Check expiration dates of standards, chemicals, remove expired chemicals, and dispose of them accordingly.
Laboratory environment with exposure to noise, bio-hazardous materials, and chemicals. May involve exposure to radiation within NRC limits. Moderate noise, oven heat, open flame, and chemical fume hood areas requiring wearing appropriate safety equipment.
Physical Requirements
- Stand, sit, walk, use hands and fingers to handle or feel, reach with arms and hands, talk or hear, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
- Close vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- Use of repetitive motion.
- Able to operate computer/office machines.
- Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Minimum of High School/Trade School/Vocational School Diploma, GED, or equivalent. B.S. degree preferred.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications.
- Demonstrated excellent communication: verbal and written.
- A self-starter with a hands-on approach and a can-do attitude.
- Intermediate-B1+ level English language proficiency.
- Entry-level position, previous experience not required.
