The typical salary for this role is $62,500 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience and location. We offer a competitive compensation package that includes bonuses, benefits, and opportunities for growth and development.

Job Description

As a Staff Pharmacist at CVS Health, you will be an integral part of our pharmacy team. Your primary responsibility will be to lead and direct the Pharmacy Technician Support Staff while ensuring excellent patient care and customer service. You will also be responsible for managing all aspects of the pharmacy, including patient safety, regulatory requirements, quality assurance, and inventory management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Safety: Ensure the safe handling and administration of medications, as well as maintain accurate records.
  • Pharmacy Professional Practice: Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in pharmacy practice and apply knowledge to improve patient outcomes.
  • Regulatory Requirements: Comply with federal, state, and local regulations governing pharmacy operations.
  • Quality Assurance: Monitor and improve the quality of services provided by the pharmacy team.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional service to patients and customers, responding to their needs and concerns.
  • Personnel Management: Lead, motivate, and develop the Pharmacy Technician Support Staff to achieve their full potential.
  • Inventory Management: Manage the ordering, stocking, and disposal of pharmaceuticals and supplies.
  • Financial Profitability: Contribute to the financial success of the pharmacy through effective management of resources.
  • Loss Prevention: Identify and mitigate risks associated with loss or theft of prescription medications.
  • Workflow Management: Streamline processes to improve efficiency and productivity within the pharmacy.

Required Qualifications:

  • Active Pharmacy License in the state in which you are employed.
  • No DEA Exclusion from participating in Medicare, Medicaid, or other federally funded healthcare programs.
  • Immunization Certification through an accredited organization (i.e., APhA).
  • No pending felony charges or convictions for criminal offenses involving controlled substances.
