Dietetic Assistant

We are seeking a skilled Dietetic Assistant to join our team at Waukesha Memorial Hospital. As a Dietetic Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring optimal nutritional care for our patients.

• Work with our electronic medical record (EMR) system to obtain the most up-to-date diet information for each patient.
• Monitor the EMR to ensure all food allergy information is accurately entered into the hospital room service system.
• Process new diets and changes in a timely manner, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Provide excellent customer service by promptly answering phone calls and responding to voice mail to assist patients with menu selection and dietary restrictions.
• Track patients' carbohydrate counts and sodium levels based on prescribed dietary restrictions.
• Verify the accuracy of room trays by checking and reading back selections to patients.
• Update menu and nutrition orders with care and accuracy.
• Answer general questions about approved diets and notify the Clinical Dietitian of patients who require special attention.
