We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Mercy. As a NICU Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care to critically ill newborns and their families.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care to newborns in the NICU, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
- Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a current RN license in the state of hire.
- 1 year of NICU experience preferred.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with the healthcare team.
