Job Summary

The Central Labor Council of Nashville and Middle Tennessee is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Floor Care Technician to join our team. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of floor cleaning and maintenance throughout our facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and improve the cleanliness and appearance of all hard and soft surfaces in our facilities, including floors, carpets, and other surfaces.
  • Operate and maintain a variety of floor care equipment, including ride-on scrubbers, walk-behind scrubbers, and buffers.
  • Perform detailed cleaning tasks, including stripping and waxing, grout cleaning, and spot cleaning.
  • Ensure that all cleaning tasks are completed to the highest standards of quality and safety.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure that all facilities maintenance tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment and facilities as needed.
  • Assist with special projects and events as required.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in floor care and maintenance.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to lift and push up to 60 pounds.
  • Ability to read and write in English.
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines. The employee may be subject to outside elements, including heat, cold, rain, and snow. The employee will also be required to work with various cleaning chemicals and to operate power equipment.
