Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced CT Technologist to join our team at Intermountain Health Primary Children's Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah. This is a 7-on-7-off graveyard position, with a shift differential included for overnight shifts. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in CT procedures, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to patient safety and satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities- Perform high-quality CT scans using ionizing radiation, ensuring proper patient preparation and positioning.
- Administer contrast materials as ordered by physicians, under radiologist or physician supervision.
- Practice appropriate infection control and sterile techniques to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Provide exceptional patient education and ensure patient comfort throughout the exam process.
- Operate CT equipment and related information systems efficiently, producing high-quality images while maintaining departmental expectations.
- Exhibit working knowledge of contrast injectors and laser printers, as well as electronic imaging capabilities.
- Complete all required documentation accurately and thoroughly, including time stamps and image storage.
- ARRT registered technologist (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists).
- Current Utah State licensure (for positions in Utah).
- Basic life support (BLS) certified for healthcare providers.
- One year of experience in CT, with post-hire expectation to meet departmental IV certification competency within three months.
- Specialty Tech in Training: Currently attending formal training from an accredited program or successful completion of formal training from an approved/accredited school with Radiologic Technology (RT) Certification.
- CT registered by ARRT.
- Diagnostic, CT, and Pediatric experience.
