Salary: $150,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Job Description

  • Compound, prepare, mix, manufacture, and dispense medications, drugs, and solutions according to hospital policies and procedures.
  • Ensure assay and quality control procedures are carried out when necessary, including dispensing controlled substances and maintaining appropriate control forms.
  • Provide information regarding drugs for all personnel and staff through the direction of the Director of Pharmacy.
  • Assist in training pharmacy students by supervising and providing information.
  • Maintain and control stock of pharmaceuticals in the pharmacy and on the floors, including antidotes and emergency drugs.
  • Prepare reports as needed, including filling and labeling cart cassettes.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Graduate of a college of pharmacy accredited by the American Council on Pharmaceutical Education (ACPE) or graduate of a foreign college of pharmacy.
  • Currently licensed to practice pharmacy in California.
  • One year of hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
