Position Overview: Assistant Head of Facilities Operations

We are looking for a committed individual to undertake semi-skilled tasks under the guidance of the head facilities serviceperson. The role involves overseeing and engaging in the cleaning initiatives to uphold the cleanliness, organization, aesthetics, and safety of the facilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating various mechanical systems with precision and accountability.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate the work completed by Facilities Service personnel and other designated staff
  • Guide subordinate team members on the correct usage of equipment and adherence to safety protocols
  • Initiate, supervise, and modify mechanical systems as necessary
  • Conduct minor maintenance tasks as required
  • Ensure the security of the premises prior to leaving
  • Notify the supervisor regarding maintenance requirements
  • Engage in training initiatives
  • Complete assignments in a timely manner
  • Adhere to safety regulations consistently
  • Comply with federal, state laws, and School Board guidelines

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
  • Capability to follow custodial procedures
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills
  • Familiarity with cleaning supplies and equipment
  • Physical capacity to lift and manage equipment
  • Proficient computer skills

Preferred Skills:

  • Bilingual abilities

Physical Demands:

Heavy work: Requires exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and up to 50 pounds frequently to move items.

Employment Terms:

Compensation and benefits are in accordance with the District's pay structure. Work schedule and hours are determined by the School Board.
