Job Summary

Owensboro Community and Technical College invites applications to apply for part-time/temporary faculty as an English Instructor in the Heritage, Humanities, and Fine Arts Department.

Primary Teaching Assignments
  • Developmental writing workshop
  • Writing I
  • Writing II
Job Duties
  • Provide instruction to students in both theory and practice of English
  • Incorporate a variety of teaching methods and materials to assist students with differing educational experiences, experiential backgrounds, and learning styles
  • Evaluate students' progress towards stated course competencies and inform them of their progress in a timely manner
Minimum Qualifications
  • Master's degree from an accredited university with 18 graduate hours of coursework in English
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in and understanding of working with students from diverse populations
  • Preferred for the candidate to have experience with instructional technologies, including presentation software and learning management systems
  • Prior teaching experience
