Job Summary

The Perioperative Technician will provide technical support to the efficient running of the surgical schedule, working under the direct supervision of the circulating RN or OR Management. This role requires a strong ability to read and comprehend physician preference cards and equipment operation instructions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform all duties of Housekeeping
  • Provide technical support to the surgical team
  • Operate and troubleshoot equipment
  • Assist with central sterile and instrument processing duties
Requirements
  • One year prior Perioperative Technician experience in an acute care operating room
  • High school diploma or equivalent level of work experience
  • Ability to read and comprehend physician preference cards and equipment operation instructions
  • Technical ability to effectively operate and troubleshoot equipment
  • BLS Certification (American Heart Association)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to independently function in a fast-paced environment
  • Completion of central sterile/instrument processing course
Compensation

$33.26/hour
