We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Home Health Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team at Egan - Ochsner Home Health New Orleans, part of LHC Group.

Estimated Salary: $65,000 - $80,000 per year

Job Description:

The Home Health Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA, LPTA) plays a vital role in providing high-quality care to patients in the comfort of their own homes. As a member of our interdisciplinary team, you will work closely with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to develop and implement personalized treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer exercises and treatments as directed by the supervising PT, promoting patient independence and well-being.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical abilities and limitations, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
  • Provide education and training to patients and their caregivers on proper techniques and safety measures.
Requirements:
  • Current licensure, registration, or certification to practice as a physical therapy assistant in the state of Louisiana.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Ability to lift, bend, and stand for prolonged periods, with frequent travel between patient homes.
  • Willingness to participate in ongoing education and professional development opportunities.
