We are seeking a highly skilled Early Intervention Specialist to join our team at Sevita. As an Early Intervention Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing in-home early intervention services to infants and toddlers with disabilities, including developmental delays and autism spectrum disorders.
Key Responsibilities- Service Delivery: Plan, schedule, and provide weekly early educational in-home services for a caseload of infant/toddlers with disabilities, including developmental delays and programs for children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders.
- Assessment and Documentation: Administer and document all program assessments and updates accurately to meet timelines.
- Activity Design and Implementation: Design, implement, and adapt activities for language, cognitive, fine and gross motor, sensory, self-help, and social/emotional development, for each individual child, utilizing best practices.
- Parent Support and Education: Model effective adult-child interactions and provide written information on parenting, child development, and provide parents with written weekly activities and effective coaching.
- Progress Monitoring: Monitor, document, and share the child's progress with the family and team.
- Education: Associate's Degree or at least 60 college units in Human Services related field, preferably Child or Human Development major or coursework.
- Experience: One-two year's experience working with infants or young children and their parents.
- Driver's License and Vehicle: Valid CA driver's license in good standing and access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance.
- Skills: Strong attention to detail and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines, effective communication skills to manage relationships, and a compassionate approach and a commitment to quality in everything you do.
- Flexible Scheduling: Flexible full-time and part-time schedules available, with opportunity to increase caseload to full-time.
