About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Behavior Technician to join our team at NeurAbilities Healthcare. As a Behavior Technician, you will work one-to-one with children in a clinic, home, or school setting, implementing Applied Behavior Analysis under the supervision of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst.

Your primary responsibility will be to assist clients in developing independent daily living, social, and communication skills. You will also be responsible for maintaining client program books and materials, establishing and maintaining therapeutic relationships with clients, and collaborating with family and treatment team members to provide treatment effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement instructional and behavior support plans and collect pertinent data.
  • Maintain client program books and materials.
  • Establish and maintain therapeutic relationships with clients.
  • Collaborate with family and treatment team members to provide treatment effectively.
  • Educate all those involved about the role of ABA-based interventions and functions within boundaries of the Behavior Health Technician role in providing treatment.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Six months of experience working with children and adolescents with Autism and other developmental disabilities is preferred.
  • Ability to communicate well and thrive in both individual and team environments.
  • Ability to remain patient and calm when encountering challenging behaviors.
  • Must be able to travel to all service locations, including school, daycare, clinic, and home settings.

Working Conditions and Physical Demands:

  • Estimated 20% travel, dependent on need.
  • This job operates in a clinic, home, or school environment and routinely uses standard technology such as a computer or tablet.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. and perform tasks involving physical activity, which may include prolonged periods of walking, running, standing, bending, kneeling, squatting, climbing, and stooping.
