Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough investigations of workers' compensation claims by contacting injured workers, medical providers, and employer representatives to gather relevant information.
  • Determine the validity of claims under applicable workers' compensation statutes and communicate with medical providers to develop and authorize treatment plans.
  • Review and analyze medical bills to ensure charges and treatment are related to workers' compensation injuries and in accordance with treatment plans.
  • Ensure timely payments for medical bills and income replacement in accordance with applicable fee schedules and statutes.
  • Respond to inquiries regarding claim status from claimants, policyholders, and medical providers.
  • Collaborate with attorneys to manage litigation, develop settlement strategies, and resolve claims.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Workers' Compensation adjuster.
  • Nevada Workers' Compensation License.
  • Current on Continued Education Units.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize workload and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
